TERMS AND CONDITIONS – WEDDING SUPPLIERS
Effective date: 1st June 2024
- Introduction
Thank you for choosing Marriage Market. The ensuing Terms govern your participation as a Wedding Supplier on the Marriage Market platform, which is owned and operated by Marriage Market L.L.C-FZ. We are duly incorporated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under registration number 2419397.01, with our principal office located at Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E.
By engaging with our platform, you are entering into a binding agreement with Marriage Market, as outlined comprehensively in these Terms. Registration as a Supplier signifies your complete understanding of, and agreement to, the stipulations detailed herein. Should you find any part of these Terms unacceptable, you must refrain from using our platform.
Your decision to register and use our services is made solely based on the Terms provided here. We affirm that no additional promises, statements, or warranties have been relied upon outside of what is detailed in these Terms. Thus, any claims of misrepresentation arising from undocumented statements will not be recognised.
- Definitions
- “Platform”: This term refers to the Marriage Market website along with any associated mobile applications developed in the future.
- “Wedding Supplier” or “Supplier”: Refers to any entity, whether a business or an individual, that offers wedding-related services and utilises the Platform for advertising purposes.
- “Couple”: Denotes users of the Platform who are engaged in planning their wedding.
- “Subscription”: Represents the fees that Suppliers are required to pay in exchange for advertising and promoting their services on the Platform.
- “Content”: Encompasses all forms of media including text, images, and videos that Suppliers upload to the Platform.
- “Free Trial”: A designated period during which Suppliers can access and use the Platform’s services without incurring the usual subscription charges.
- Agreement to Terms
- When you register as a Supplier with Marriage Market, you are agreeing to abide by these Terms. Your continued use of the Platform indicates your acceptance of any changes or updates to these Terms. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms. If at any time you find the Terms unacceptable, you must immediately stop using the Platform.
- The current version of the Terms is dated as mentioned above. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time for any reason at our discretion. We will give you at least 15 days notice of any changes if you are registered as a Supplier, except in urgent situations such as compliance with legal obligations or addressing immediate security risks like fraud or cyber threats, where no prior notice is necessary.
- Notifications of substantial changes will be sent to you via email or announced on the Platform. Changes that do not significantly affect your rights may be implemented immediately and will be effective once posted on the Platform.
- By continuing to use the Platform after new Terms have been published, you agree to and accept the revisions. If you disagree with the modified Terms, you must discontinue using the Platform without delay.
- Requirements
- Age and Legal Capacity: To join Marriage Market as a Supplier, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter contracts. If you’re registering on behalf of an organisation, ensure you are authorised to agree to these Terms on its behalf. Your registration confirms that you meet these criteria.
- Account Registration: To fully engage with the services offered on the Platform, you’ll need to set up a Supplier account. This process requires you to provide accurate and complete details about your business operations. Registration is intended for individuals or entities primarily engaged in business, trade, or professional activities.
- Content Responsibility: You are expected to provide truthful and updated information during registration and in all content you upload, create, or generate on the Platform, referred to collectively as “Supplier Content.”
- Content Accuracy and Security: You bear full responsibility for ensuring that all Supplier Content is accurate, current, and regularly updated. Immediate updates should be communicated if any of your provided information changes.
- Account Security: When creating an account, you will establish a unique username and password:
(a) You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials.
(b) Should you suspect any unauthorised access or security breach, notify us immediately.
(c) Always log out after using the Platform to prevent unauthorised access.
(d) You should maintain only one active account at any given time and operate it solely under your business identity.
- Registration and Account
5.1 Setting Up Your Account: To engage with the services offered on the Platform, you are required to establish an account. This process necessitates that you supply thorough and precise details such as your personal and business names, contact information, and any other required data during the signup process.
5.2 Protecting Your Account: It is your responsibility to secure the confidentiality of your account login details. You are accountable for all activities that occur under your account. Promptly inform us of any unauthorised access or security violations concerning your account.
5.3 Keeping Your Account Updated: You commit to keeping your account information truthful, current, and complete. Should any information you provide at registration or subsequently prove to be false, outdated, or incomplete, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.
5.4 Content Licensing: The content you upload or create on the Platform, termed “Supplier Content,” is deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, global, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, copy, modify, publish, translate, create derivative works from, display, and perform such Supplier Content in connection with the services provided through the Platform.
5.5 Content Ownership and Responsibility: You maintain ownership over all Supplier Content you submit. By uploading this content, you assert that:
- (a) You have the authority to post the content and grant the aforementioned licenses.
- (b) The content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- (c) The content is not illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- (d) You relinquish any moral rights you may hold in such content.
We reserve the right to:
- (a) Reveal your identity to any third party claiming your content infringes on their rights.
- (b) Remove any of your content at our discretion without explanation.
5.6 Promotional Terms: Occasionally, selected suppliers might receive special promotions or discounts upon registration. These offers are exclusive and cannot be combined with any other promotions.
- Subscription Fees and Payment Terms
- 6.1 Subscription Fees: To list your services on the Platform, you must pay a subscription fee. The fees vary based on the category of services offered and the duration of the subscription. Detailed pricing information is available on the Platform.
- 6.2 Payment Terms: Subscription fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable, except as outlined in our Refund Policy. Payments can be made via the payment methods specified on the Platform.
- 6.3 Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each term unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Renewal fees will be charged using the payment method on file unless you update your payment information.
- 6.4 Taxes: All fees are exclusive of taxes, and you are responsible for paying any applicable taxes, including VAT, associated with your subscription.
- 6.5 Varying Prices: The subscription fees vary based on the supplier category. Detailed pricing information is available on the Platform. Suppliers are required to pay separate subscription plans for different service categories. For example, if a supplier provides both florist services and hair & makeup services, they need to create two adverts and pay for two separate subscription plans.
- Free Trials
- 7.1 Availability: We may offer free trials of our subscription services to new Suppliers. The terms and conditions of the free trial, including the duration, will be specified on the Platform or communicated to you during the sign-up process.
- 7.2 Automatic Conversion: At the end of the free trial period, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial period ends. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee using the payment method provided during registration.
- 7.3 Cancellation: You may cancel your free trial at any time before the trial period expires to avoid any charges. Instructions for cancellation will be provided during the sign-up process and on the Platform.
- 7.4 Eligibility: Free trials are limited to one per Supplier. If you have previously used a free trial, you may not be eligible for another trial. We reserve the right to revoke or modify the terms of the free trial at any time without prior notice.
- Cancellation and Termination
- 8.1 Cancellation by Supplier: Suppliers may cancel their subscription by providing a 1-month notice. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Full-year subscriptions cannot be cancelled mid-term; however, Suppliers may choose not to renew after the term ends.
- 8.2 Termination by Marriage Market: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms or any other policies on the Platform.
- 8.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination or cancellation of your account, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. Any data associated with your account may be deleted, and we are not obligated to retain such data. Any outstanding fees must be paid immediately.
- 8.4 Reinstatement: We may, at our discretion, reinstate a terminated account if the issue causing the termination is resolved. Reinstatement is not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Listing and Profile Guidelines
- 9.1 Accurate Information: Suppliers must provide accurate and complete information about their services, including location, details, pricing, services offered, availability, and contact information. Any changes to this information must be promptly updated on the Platform.
- 9.2 Prohibited Content: Listings must not include any false, misleading, or deceptive content. Content must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Suppliers must not post any content that is defamatory, offensive or infringes on any third-party rights.
- 9.3 Quality Standards: Suppliers must ensure that the photos, videos, and descriptions accurately represent their services. High-quality content is encouraged to attract potential Couples.
- 9.4 Review and Removal: Marriage Market reserves the right to review and remove any listing that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate at our discretion.
- 9.5 Free Profile Creation: Please note Suppliers can create a profile for free. However, to list an advert, suppliers must select a category for that advert and there will be a charge for that advert accordingly as outlined above.
- Supplier Responsibilities
- 10.1 Service Quality: Suppliers must ensure the quality, reliability, and timeliness of their services. Suppliers are expected to uphold professional standards and provide services as advertised.
- 10.2 Communication: Suppliers must respond promptly to inquiries from Couples. Clear and effective communication is essential to ensure satisfactory service and avoid misunderstandings. If suppliers neglect, ignore or unnecessarily delay messages with couples, their account may be suspended and/or terminated.
- 10.3 Reporting Bookings: Suppliers are required to report all bookings made through the Platform and update their availability calendar to prevent double bookings. Once a couple and supplier have agreed on a price and booked, the supplier must block out the booked time on their calendar to avoid future double bookings.
- 10.4 Compliance: Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations, including those related to consumer protection, data protection, and privacy.
- Featured Listings and Promotions
- 11.1 Featured Listings: Suppliers can opt for featured listings to gain more visibility on the Platform. Featured listings are subject to additional fees as specified on the Platform.
- 11.2 Promotional Offers: Marriage Market may offer promotions to selected Suppliers at its discretion. These promotions may include discounts, extended free trial periods, or other incentives.
- 11.3 Terms of Promotion: The specific terms and conditions of any promotional offers will be communicated to the eligible Suppliers. Promotions are non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers.
- 11.4 No Commission on Bookings: As of now, Marriage Market does not take a commission for bookings made on the site. Suppliers pay only the subscription fees and any additional fees for featured listings or promotions.
- Refund Policy
- 12.1 Refund Conditions: Refunds will be processed if the service is not functioning as intended due to system faults or technical issues. Requests for refunds must be submitted through the designated channels on the Platform.
- 12.2 Non-Refundable Conditions: Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with success results or other non-system-related issues. Suppliers are encouraged to contact customer support for assistance in resolving any service-related concerns.
- 12.3 Refund Process: Once a refund request is approved, the refund will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used by the Supplier.
- Intellectual Property
- 13.1 Supplier Content: By uploading content to the Platform, Suppliers grant Marriage Market a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their content on the Platform for the purpose of promoting their services.
- 13.2 Ownership: Suppliers retain ownership of all content they upload to the Platform. However, Suppliers must ensure that their content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
- 13.3 Infringement Claims: If a Supplier’s content is alleged to infringe on third-party rights, we may remove the content and/or terminate the Supplier’s account. Suppliers are responsible for resolving any disputes arising from their content.
- Confidentiality
- 14.1 Confidential Information: Suppliers may receive confidential information during their use of the Platform. Confidential information includes but is not limited to, business strategies, pricing, and non-public information about the Platform.
- 14.2 Obligation of Confidentiality: Suppliers agree to keep all confidential information received from Marriage Market confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without our prior written consent.
- 14.3 Exceptions: The obligation of confidentiality does not apply to information that is publicly available, already in the Supplier’s possession without obligation of confidentiality, or required to be disclosed by law.
- Data Protection and Privacy
- 15.1 Compliance: Suppliers must comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations and international privacy laws.
- 15.2 Personal Data: Suppliers must handle the personal data of Couples and other users obtained through the Platform with care and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Suppliers must not misuse, sell, or distribute this data.
- 15.3 Data Breach: In the event of a data breach involving personal data obtained through the Platform, Suppliers must notify Marriage Market immediately and take all necessary steps to mitigate the breach and comply with applicable data breach notification requirements.
- Liability and Indemnification
- 16.1 Limitation of Liability: Marriage Market is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- 16.2 Supplier Indemnification: Suppliers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Marriage Market, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to (i) the Supplier’s use of the Platform, (ii) any breach of these Terms by the Supplier, or (iii) any claim that the Supplier’s content infringes on the intellectual property rights of a third party.
- Amendments
- 17.1 Right to Amend: Marriage Market reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform.
- 17.2 Notification: Suppliers will be notified of significant changes to these Terms through the Platform or via email. Suppliers are responsible for reviewing any changes and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
- 17.3 Disagreement with Amendments: If a Supplier does not agree with the amended Terms, they must cease using the Platform immediately.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- 18.1 Governing Law: These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- 18.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

- Entire Agreement
- 20.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with any other policies or agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the Supplier and Marriage Market regarding the use of the Platform.
- 20.2 Severance: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- 20.3 Waiver: No waiver of any term or condition will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition. Any failure to assert a right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
By registering and using the Marriage Market Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
