I’m not sure if I can fit my praise for Nancy and her team at fête en France into one review but I’ll try. Out of all of the choices we made for our wedding choosing fête en France was far and above the best decision we’ve ever made. Nancy, the owner of the company is from Chicago and really understands the psychology behind translating the “American wedding experience” into European culture. She made herself available throughout the entire process while her associate Sophie oversaw the planning from start to finish. Sophie was INCREDIBLE. She not only handled every detail, but she was honest, she listened to us, she got to know us and advocated for our wants and needs with every vendor and at every stage of the planning process. She thought of details that never would have crossed our minds and gave great advice that helped us keep costs down. She knew exactly where we should invest to get the most value for our money. She even went as far to help us set our expectations and put our minds at ease when we got stressed or overwhelmed (which rarely happened because she took care of everything). Sophie went so far and beyond the call of duty of a wedding planner and over the course of the 14/15 months it took to plan our wedding she really became a friend to both my husband and I. She completely understood our vision and put together the most magical event. Our wedding truly felt like a celebration being thrown in our honor rather than an overwhelming experience we couldn’t enjoy. We really had as much fun planning our wedding with Sophie as we did on our actual wedding day. If you are on the fence about hiring fête en France I HIGHLY recommend including them in your budget, i can guarantee it will be the best money you spend for your wedding.

Nancy was hands down the best decision we made. She brought all my ideas to life and the entire weekend was just a dream. People have asked me what would I have done differently or changed and honestly, I wouldn’t change a single thing. To me the entire weekend was perfect. Having Nancy there also meant that we got to enjoy the weekend and our wedding! Instead of stressing and running around like hosts usually do.
It’s been a month since our wedding and I miss our weekly calls. She was just amazing. During our site visit in March (wedding in September), she pulled out an app to calculate where the sun would be in September so that our ceremony wouldn’t be in direct sun. She also filled our limited time with vendor visits and tastings, making it so easy for us to choose our vendors and finalize key decisions ahead of time. So many big and little decisions go into wedding planning and this is something most of us only ever do once! I cannot recommend Nancy enough for all the knowledge and insights she brings to the table. She was great at bringing my ideas for the wedding to life. Any question, crazy idea, concern that I threw at her, she handled it all like a pro with grace and ease.
My husband and I live in San Francisco and our 70 guests traveled from the US, Canada, UK, China, and Singapore to attend our wedding. Everyone had such a surreal time and so many people commented on how well organized the entire 4 day weekend was. None of that would have been possible without Nancy and her meticulous planning and creative execution.
My biggest advice for anyone planning a destination wedding is find a wedding planner that you connect with and trust them to plan the wedding of your dreams. It will likely be the best party you ever throw and it makes the world of a difference to be able to enjoy it knowing that a professional is handling all the details.
