AN INCREDIBLE STAY, we didn’t want to leave! We stayed in the Plum room and we had the whole grounds to ourself so it pretty much felt like our home and we had free rein to use the house as we wished, we had just got engaged two days prior so this was BLISS!! The grounds are STUNNING! The view, the interiors, the staff, the diversity everything about it was 5*. Special shout out to Saman the hotel manager, Sampath the Chef, Viduna, Thisara, and Prassanna who made the stay EXTRA special, so attentive, kind and warming. The food was incredible and one of the highlights of our stay, was when Sampath and Saman would specifically ask us what we wanted to eat for each meal (not one menu seen during the whole stay which was impressive and added that personalized touch, bespoke feeling!) once we had discussed what we wanted they would organize a 3 course meal for every sitting, we wanted to experience true Sri Lankan cuisine so for the most part our meals were influenced by these flavors and it was incredible to experience such lovely dining. For lunch one day they even allowed us to have a floating lunch in the pool! I could not recommend this location enough. As a creative person I truly see this as a perfect place for a retreat, a place where you can relax, delve in to hobbies and create your own oasis! Its remote location lends it self to creation, contemplation and relaxation without the hustle and bustle. We were grateful to be able to wake up to the view, surrounded by the diversity and great staff! Id like to add that we felt the pictures didn’t do the property/grounds justice, also pictures of the villa, which is equally breathtaking just modern is outstanding (we were lucky enough to be able to see the villa and what it had to offer and it was very impressive) just a shame that there isn’t any photos of it! (we were shocked to hear that there weren’t other guests & that people had cancelled – we could only assume that it was because its an hour away from central Kandy?!?!) Since we had just got engaged we could see its potential in being a wonderful wedding location! We will be visiting again and next time for even longer!

A long rickety road takes you up to the hotel so you begin to wander where you are going. Then you reach the entrance and it is fantastic. A plantation bungalow full of charm, wonderful scenery all around, and the pool area is absolutely wonderful.
On top of all this the food was exquisite and the Chef heard it was our 25th wedding anniversary and went to the trouble of producing a wonderful surprise cake. Can’t recommend this place enough and have nt even mentioned yet how wonderful all the staff were. We hope to return one day.
